2026 AF Symposium: Best Abstract Award presentation—Complication of Pulsed Field Ablation
A major event at the end of the Friday session was the Best Abstract Award presentation to Dr. Devi Nair, MD, FACC, FHRS for her abstract, Complication of Pulsed Field Ablation: Coronary Artery Spasm, an unusual and noteworthy topic.
An interesting twist about this abstract is the role of Dr. Nair’s Atrial Fibrillation patients from the Marshall Islands. It all started when the atomic bomb was tested by the U.S. in the Pacific from 1946–1958. Learn how many Marchallese residents relocated to Arkansas, and what happened when 5 patients underwent a Pulse Field Ablation (PFA)…. Read the rest of the story from my summary.
