A-Fib Patients’ Stories of Hope, Encouragement and Lessons Learned
By category:
- Listed by Posting Order
- Listed by Subject Category (Age Group, Symptoms or Treatment Choice)
Each author tells their story to offer you hope, to encourage you, and to bolster your determination to seek a life free of A-Fib. Many writers have included their email address if you want to contact them directly. Note: You’ll need to replace the ‘(at)’ with the ‘@’ (this helps protect from spamming).
Note: Patients sharing their personal experiences are often quite frank about the treatments received, their doctors and medical centers; their opinions are their own. People are not paid for their stories.
HOW TO SELECT A STORY
Listed by Posting Order: With over ninety-five stories, you probably won’t want to read them all. So, if you wish to read the most recent stories see the ‘Listed by Posting Order‘ page. Personal experiences are posted in descending (reverse) order by date written (or received). You’ll see my own story at the bottom of the list (#1 from 2002). Click on the title of the story you want to read to jump directly to the page with that personal experience.
Listed by Subject: If you wish to read stories on a specific subject see the page titled ‘Listed by Subject’. We have a few major categories: by Cause, by Risk Factor, by Symptom, by Age group/Years with A-Fib, and by Treatment. Each category has several subcategories. (Stories have many facets; therefore a story may appear in more than one category.) Browse the categories to select a story, then click on a story number to jump directly to the page with that personal experience.
HAVE A STORY TO SHARE?
How about you!? Do you have a personal A-Fib experience to share with other patients? It can be your own story or perhaps your spouse, parent or sibling. Just tell the story from your point-of-view. If you are interesting in offering your insights and ‘lessons learned’, read how to write and submit your A-Fib story, then email us!
