Doctors & patients are saying about 'Beat Your A-Fib'...

"If I had [your book] 10 years ago, it would have saved me 8 years of hell.”

Roy Salmon, Patient, A-Fib Free,
Adelaide, Australia

"This book is incredibly complete and easy-to-understand for anybody. I certainly recommend it for patients who want to know more about atrial fibrillation than what they will learn from doctors...."

Pierre Jaïs, M.D. Professor of Cardiology, Haut-Lévêque Hospital, Bordeaux, France

"Dear Steve, I saw a patient this morning with your book [in hand] and highlights throughout. She loves it and finds it very useful to help her in dealing with atrial fibrillation."

Dr. Wilber Su,
Cavanaugh Heart Center,
Phoenix, AZ

"...masterful. You managed to combine an encyclopedic compilation of information with the simplicity of presentation that enhances the delivery of the information to the reader. This is not an easy thing to do, but you have been very, very successful at it."

Ira David Levin, heart patient,
Rome, Italy

"Within the pages of Beat Your A-Fib, Dr. Steve Ryan, PhD, provides a comprehensive guide for persons seeking to find a cure for their Atrial Fibrillation."

Walter Kerwin, MD, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA

Our A-Fib Friend Emmett Finch Passes at 100 years old

We recently lost a great friend of A-Fib.com, Emmett Finch, The Malibu Poet. We met Emmett when we researched his personal A-Fib story for our book, Beat Your A-Fib (“40-Year Battle With A-Fib Includes AV Node Ablation with Pacemaker”).

Treatments Evolved Over 40-Years of A-Fib. Emmett’s treatment plan evolved over the years as research and knowledge about Atrial Fibrillation progressed. First beyond drug therapy to his PV catheter ablation, then AV Node ablation with Pacemaker and then finally installation of the Watchman device. Emmett overcame his own A-Fib and was A-Fib free since 2012.

Emmett overcame his own A-Fib and was A-Fib free since 2012.

Emmett’s Personal A-Fib Story. Emmett wrote: “There is more help available today than when I first developed my A-Fib [in 1972], and I’m sure more treatment options (like the Watchman device) will be available in the future.” Read his story in our book, Beat Your A-Fib.

Emmett passed away at age 100 in Malibu, CA. He lived a full, inspirational life and wrote 11 books of poetry. He survived World War II, a plane crash, and many dangers while working as a Los Angeles County firefighter.

Read Emmett poem “A-Fib’s Demise” on A-Fib.com.

A-Fib’s Demise’ Emmett honored us with a special poem entitled ‘A-Fib’s Demise’. It’s for people of faith who look for hope and help from the Divine but also seek doctors, medicines, supplements, etc. as manifestations of the “creative power we call God.”
